Researchers at Western Australia's health and medical research institutes, universities and major hospitals need the help of community members to assist them in reviewing and/or commenting on a range of documents.

Involving consumers and community members in reviewing documents, such as -  patient information sheets, consent forms and grant applications, helps to make sure that the information about research can be easily understood by members of the public. This helps make information about research more open, transparent and accessible.

If you have an interest in any of the following areas of  research we would love to hear from you:

  • Cancer
  • Respiratory - including asthma and allergies
  • Breastfeeding

About the role of consumers

What is the time commitment for consumers?

Each project will take 1 - 2 hours to meet with the researcher - discuss their project, provide feedback and comment on their project and documents. Consumers can register their interest to be involved in just one project or multiple projects.

Where will meetings be held?

As these research projects are being conducted in many research institutes, universities and hospitals across metropolitan Western Australia the location for meetings will vary, but can be arranged at suitable times to meet your needs - please discuss this with our team!
