Cancer Care Consumer Reference Group REF CU000313

Have you or someone you care about been affected by cancer? You could be the perfect person to help researchers at Curtin University understand what is important about different aspects of cancer care.

Applications close: 7th April 2017

Researchers at Curtin University are looking for people with a cancer experience or carers/people who look after someone with cancer to provide advice for a new project looking at aspects of cancer care and what areas of care people value the most.

About the project

This project aims to identify how much people value different aspects of cancer care.  This important information can help decision-makers personalise care to maximize things that matter most to people with cancer. For example, some people living with cancer may prefer to have treatment at home and are willing to have less contact with doctors as a trade-off. The trade-offs that people are willing to make are important in determining what routine care should be, and what care options should be offered to people with a cancer experience when making shared decisions about their own care with their doctor.
